What is Code 4 and Code 5 lead?
The code refers to the thickness of the lead. Code 4 is commonly used for flashings and soakers, and the thicker Code 5 is used where more durability is needed, such as valleys and bays.

Lead welding joins pieces of lead with a welded seam rather than overlaps, giving a neat, watertight join on complex details.
